Sue Cotton – Company Director and Care Manager

My role    I am the Company Director and Registered Care Manager of Silver Tree Home Support Community Interest Company. I am passionate about the improvement of care provision, and I am always striving for excellence in care.   In 2012 Silver Tree Home Support was established and developed as a regulated care provider, for children and adults. Moving on from these early days we have now grown from strength to strength with a wonderful team of staff and amazing clients. During this time, we have also gained good consistently across all our regulatory outcomes with our Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspections. I am so proud of everyone who has made this possible.

As a healthcare professional I am constantly updating my competence and knowledge, enjoying learning and gaining new skills, competence and knowledge in the sector, and have recently qualified as a Learning Disability Nurse.

Helen Rhead – Support Worker

My role
I have worked for SilverTree for about 10 years now and the company is very supportive  and always at hand if needed. SilverTree encourages training at all times and makes sure it’s up to date for the work and care with our clients. I have clients with different needs and challenges and my work includes shopping, cleaning, taking clients to their appointments and also going out. Giving as much advice as possible, also we promote well-being and self-esteem to each customer. We encourage them to get involved in everyday life and make them feel confident and give them self-worth. The results are very rewarding, not every day is the same and there are different challenges all the time.

About me Before I started as a support worker I worked for Royal Doulton as a Paintress for 35 years. I started at the age of 14 on the 10th of August 1970. I was made redundant after 35 years. After that I then started to work for Brighter Futures. At the time it was known as Potteries Housing- I did most of my training there. Then afterwards I went to work for SilverTree where I continue to refresh my training.

As for my spare time I like to go out at weekends for a meal, see family, and now and again go to the pictures. I also love going on my annual holiday to Greece, which is our favourite place and I love going for weekend breaks

Martina – Support Worker

My role I have been working for SilverTree for 10 years. My role here at SilverTree is a Support Worker. My job involves providing support to families and individuals in need of help to ensure they live happy and independent lives. Over the years I have supported many different service users and families helping them attend appointments, cleaning duties within the home, activities, school runs, personal care etc. I can honestly say being a Support Worker is incredibly rewarding and I really believe by being a part of the SilverTree Home Support team we really do make a difference out in the community.

About me I am a wife and mummy. I like spending my free time with my family having as much fun as possible.
I am a very creative person and have a love for arranging flowers. I was also a beautician, so I still love nails and bake a lot of yummy treats.
