1. How we’re keeping clients and staff safe

PPE Our staff are issued with face masks as a safety precaution and may use them whilst caring for you in the home, shopping. This is to minimise any potential harm and risk. Our staff will also have disposable gloves and/or hand sanitiser.

Symptoms of COVID – 19  If you have any symptoms of COVID then please call 111 or contact your GP as soon as you can, lateral flow home testing and on-site testing are  available. As per the Government advice, if a client or anyone in their household shows symptoms of, or is diagnosed with COVID-19, PPE equipment including apron, gloves , fluid resistant face mask and eye protection, will be worn as deemed necessary by a risk assessment. Please do not be alarmed when our staff wear additional PPE when caring for you and supporting you, please don’t hesitate to contact me for more information.

Service Provision We are monitoring all our services and receiving regular updates from staff on their well-being and that of the people they support. For any clients who have been advised to self-isolate we are supporting them to live safely and comfortably and arranging essential shopping/deliveries of medications etc. I would like to reassure people that we have robust policies and procedures in place, including business continuity and contingency planning with our public sector health and social care partners, as underlined in the Department of Health’s coronavirus action plan.

Social Activities We can support you to the places that you normally go within the community such as garden centres coffee shops and supermarkets

For children we can support to visit soft-play areas, indoor gyms, swimming pools, water parks, bowling alleys and the cinema.

Recently the government have announced  that the current COVID-19 restrictions will eased.

I would like to reassure our clients and their families that our staff are following the latest Government and Public Health England (PHE) coronavirus (COVID-19) guidance in relation to health and social care. We are keeping fully up to date with official advice, making sure that all our staff understand and follow the very latest COVID-19 guidance, this includes robust infection control measures, including handwashing, use of PPE. We expect staff to be extra vigilant about wearing appropriate PPE, appropriate hand washing and sanitising and completing lateral flow testing. The well-being of our clients and staff is our highest priority.
